Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the NomadMap mobile application and the nomadm.app website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use NomadMap
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
You can sign in with Google or Apple, or browse in guest mode with limited features. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your content
You own the content you create on NomadMap — posts, photos, albums, notes, and messages. By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the Service, solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where content has been shared with others (for example, messages you sent in a chat) or where retention is required by law.
4. Community rules — zero tolerance for objectionable content
NomadMap is a place for travellers to share their journeys. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not post, share, or send content that:
- is sexually explicit or pornographic, or sexualizes minors in any way;
- promotes hate, discrimination, or violence against any person or group;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or defames others;
- is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes the rights (including intellectual-property rights) of others;
- impersonates any person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone;
- is spam, scam, or deceptive commercial content.
5. Moderation, reporting, and blocking
The app provides tools to report any post, photo, comment, or user, and to block any user so they cannot contact you or see your activity. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours — removing content that violates these Terms and, where warranted, suspending or permanently banning the responsible account. We may remove any content or terminate any account at our discretion to keep the Service safe.
6. Acceptable use of the Service
You must not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service, scrape or bulk-collect data about other users, reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law, or use the Service to send unsolicited communications.
7. The Service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep NomadMap available and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be preserved. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 3, 7, and 10 survive termination.
9. App store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and NomadMap only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protections you are entitled to under the laws of your country of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
